A birdwatcher's paradise
Esquinas Rainforest Lodge has 9 cosy, rustic cabins with two rooms each. All 18 rooms have full screening and a private bathroom with hot water shower. Each room is decorated with colorful materials woven by the Guaymi and Boruca Indians and can be used as a single, double, triple or family room.
The average temperature at Esquinas is 26-28 C. (79-82 F.) during the day and 22-24 C. (72-75 C.) during the night. Each room has a ceiling fan, but we do not have air conditioning.
The covered porch in front of each room is a perfect place for birdwatching. Hummingbirds, parrots, toucans, curassows and many more of the 300+ species of birds found here frequent the trees and flowers. It is also common to see coatis, raccoons, caimans, agoutis and monkeys.
