By car:
1) San José- Atenas-Orotina-Jacó-Quepos (Manuel Antonio)-Dominical-Palmar Norte.
2) San José-Cartago-Cerro de la Muerte-San Isidro-Buenos Aires-Palmar Norte.
3) San José-Cartago-Cerro de la Muerte-San Isidro -Dominical-Palmar Norte.
From Palmar Norte, proceed south on the Interamerican Highway for 25 miles past Chacarrita to Villa Briceño (Km. 37). Watch out for the sign at the turn-off (we are not allowed to put up large billboards). Follow the level dirt road through La Gamba to the lodge (3 miles). Count on between five and seven hours from San José and three hours if you are coming from Quepos or Manuel Antonio.

By plane:
SANSA has three daily flights to Golfito. One-way fare  is $92.00 (May 2007) but prices increase every few months.  For online reservations and tickets, contact SANSA at www.flysansa.com. From Golfito, it is a 30 minute drive through the rainforest to Esquinas Lodge. Taxis are available;  the transfer costs approximately $20.00. We can arrange a pick-up for guests with reservations.  Free transfers are included in our Adventure Package. Since weather conditions usually deteriorate around noon and both airlines tend to run late, we suggest that you book one of the early morning flights.

By bus:
The bus line TRACOPA departs from Terminal Alfaro every day at 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. for the 8-hour ride to Golfito. Tickets cost $6.00. Tell the driver you want to get off in Villa Briceño (kilometro 37), which is 45 minutes before Golfito. You must ask around for transport to the lodge, or call us at 741 8001.
