The open main building with it's roof made of 60,000 palm leaves was called "a marvel of architecture" by GEO Magazine. It houses the reception, lounge, bar, and restaurant. Here, guests can enjoy one of our exotic cocktails while listening to an ongoing concert of birds, cycads, and frogs - accompanied by the pleasant gurgle of  Quebrada Negra, the stream which forms the border of Piedras Blancas National Park.  Our library contains a large collection of books about rainforest animals and plants, and the gift shop sells shampoos, jewellery, and handicraft made by local Indians and the women of La Gamba.
